Our charmingly presented 150 year old stone cottage, offers all the best of village life, lovely old properties, friendly neighbours and a local Farm shop, pub and supermarket . Situated close to the Cotswold town of Painswick and not far from Regency Cheltenham, Bondend Holiday Cottage is easily located in the desirable village of Upton St Leonards, a frequent  winner of the Best Kept Village Award. Bondend Holiday Cottage boasts character combined with comfort and all you would want for a taste of the country with the ease of nearby amenities. Perhaps you are looking for a base to enjoy walking, with the Cotswold Way 2 miles away, or to watch the infamous cheese-rolling down Cooper’s Hill or  to explore the many beautiful valleys of Stroud and the hidden Cotswold villages. You may want to shop in Cheltenham and historical Gloucester,  or just escape the fast life  by relaxing in this delightful cottage.

Bondend Holiday Cottage has 3 bedrooms; 1 with a 5ft bed (this can be two singles if preferred), 1 with a 4ft 6 bed and 1 single. They are tastefully coordinated without clutter, using quality soft furnishings and conducive to a good night’s sleep.They all have  character without head-bumping low beams! Bed linen is provided.

There is one bathroom with a traditional white suite and an over-bath shower and towels are provided.

The accommodation downstairs has a charming sitting room, with woodburner and the thick walls are evident at the front window overlooking the garden.

The kitchen has beautiful oak worktops and quality cabinets, with plenty of cupboard storage, Belfast sink and tiled floor. There is a fridge, dishwasher,  and washing machine with built-in oven.The dining table seats six, and quality china , glassware and cutlery are provided for six.
Cooking utensils,pans, iron and ironing board are all provided.

Off the kitchen is a porch, accessed from the rear of the property and enhanced by double glazing and a modern stable door. There is plenty  of room here to kick off muddy boots and hang up wet coats, an essential requirement if out in all weathers! We  do allow one dog to stay provided he/she is supervised at all times and allowed only in this porch area. As the garden is not entirely enclosed your dog must be kept on a lead when outside and not left unattended. We respectfully ask that you request permission to bring a dog , for which we charge an additional £25 returnable deposit, and that you respect those visiting the cottage after you and leave no trace of your dog behind!

Bondend Holiday Cottage garden is a lovely space to enjoy with a glass of wine  or good book, or have a picnic in the shade of the fruit trees. There is a spacious garden shed to store bicycles if you choose to bring them, or as a den for children to enjoy their own games.

We provide free Wi-Fi Internet access from the cottage. Bandwidth is usually sufficient to stream SD video from your device to the tv should you wish to use iPlayer etc..
